Why visit us?

Blaencwm Cottages is the perfect escape from the stress of your busy life. We are located just outside of the quaint town of Cardigan, and our cosy cottages and spectacular glamping pod are set in 4 acres of green farmland, with a backdrop of the Preseli Hills right on your doorstep. Y Beudy is a delightful couples cottage, boasting a roaring log burner and an exclusive en-suite sauna to keep you warm, even in the colder months. Y Frenni Fawr is a spacious and well-equipped family home from home with amazing views from the upstairs lounge - both cottages are extremely dog-friendly, with fully enclosed gardens to keep your pets safe.
We also have a quaint and cosy glamping pod, Ty Cnocell – sadly, no pets are allowed in the pod, as it is very close to our resident ducks and our newly arrived donkeys Hettie and Dudley. Both cottages have achieved a 4 Star Rating from Visit Wales and our glamping Pod, Ty Cnocell, has been rated as "Quality Assured".
We (Alison and Steve) have recently arrived at Blaencwm and are really looking forward to making this beautiful and peaceful area our home. We both hail from Surrey originally and have always dreamed of an “Escape to the Country” and Blaencwm is the perfect place to do that for us and for our guests alike.

Things to do in the area

Blaencwm Cottages and Glamping provide an excellent base for exploring the local area. We are within a 15 minute drive of Cardigan with its restored castle, wildlife-spotting boat trips, cinema and choice of shops, pubs and places to eat and also Cilgerran, home to The Welsh Wildlife Trust, the 13th century castle and the picturesque Gorge, a lovely place to walk, fish or canoe on the River Teifi.

The North Pembrokeshire beaches of Poppit Sands and Newport Sands are just a 20 minute drive while on Cardigan Bay, we recommend the beautiful beach and dolphin-spotting point at Mwnt. Walking, mountain biking, and horse riding are all available in the Preseli Hills and the coast offers activities such as golf, kayaking, surfing and coasteering. Or if you are feeling a little less energetic, you could try the Gin and Whiskey tasting experiences at In the Welsh Wind Distillery in Cardigan.

It’s only about half an hour to the major family attractions of Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme Park. Further afield, St Davids, Tenby and The National Botanic Garden of Wales are all within an hour’s drive.
