A little gem in the beautiful countryside of West Wales. So many little things that made our stay that much better. A proper cot with a comfy mattress for our toddler and blackout curtains in the bedrooms. The garden being secure so our dog could freely run around. Alison and Steve couldn’t have been more helpful. The cottage was clean, comfortable and spacious. With fresh eggs, farm milk home made fruit cake and decent coffee.
We will definitely be back!
We stayed at Y Frenni Fawr in early November 2022. The property is in a lovely setting, really peaceful and ideally located for exploring Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. We stayed a couple of years prior when it was under different ownership, and although it was lovely then, the new owners Steve and Alison have pushed the property to another level – it’s now extremely clean and tidy, has a modern heating system and has been decorated and freshened up really nicely. Steve and Alison were exemplary hosts, communication was great and you got the impression that nothing was too much trouble for them and they were on hand to help with anything if required. I understand they are looking to make further improvements to the property over the coming months and we’d definitely go back to Y Frenni Fawr in future.

We opted to stay in the pod as the nights were getting colder. The pod was lovely and warm even without the heater on, and with the heater on it was very cosy
We stayed here with our daughter in 2017 and loved it. When we could travel again we thought it would be lovely to come back and weren’t disappointed
Absolutely wonderful long weekend stay in the glamping pod. As a single parent with 2 children I was naturally nervous taking the kids away on my own.
Lovely little pod with plenty of privacy. The owners were more than helpful and welcoming. Perfect location for sight seeing such as mwnt beach and New Quay for dolphin spotting. We took our own fire pit and had a bbq.
The pod was comfortable, clean and warm with some lovely attractions nearby. We stayed in the pod in October and found we didn’t need to use the heater as it was still so warm inside! …
Such a lovely little get away . The sauna is a huge bonus to relax with and the fire was such a cosy relaxing touch. Can’t wait to come back here for another get away. Recommend to anyone who wants a nice few days away with no phones …

We are within a 15 minute drive of Cardigan with its restored castle, wildlife-spotting boat trips, cinema and choice of shops, pubs and places to eat (see below), and also Cilgerran, home to The Welsh Wildlife Trust, the 13th century castle and the picturesque Gorge, a lovely place to walk, fish or canoe on the River Teifi.The North Pembrokeshire beaches of Poppit Sands and Newport Sands are just a 20 minute drive while on Cardigan Bay, we recommend the beautiful beach and dolphin-spotting point at Mwnt.
