Access Statement

The nearest main line train station is Fishguard (15 miles) away but service is irregular- please check. Other stations are in Clynderwen (12 miles), Carmarthen (26 miles) and Aberystwyth (38 miles). Operators using the main line are Great Western and Arriva trains.
Cardigan is on main bus routes from Carmarthen, Fishguard, Haverfordwest and Aberystwyth. There are many companies including National Express, Arriva Cymru and Richard Bros.

Y Frenni Fawr – Arrival and Parking

Check-in is 3pm and check-out is 10am (unless prior arrangement is made). There is parking for 2 cars within 6 metres of the front door. Y Frenni Fawr front door access is from the main gravelled Courtyard immediately outside the house. The front door can be accessed either by negotiating 5 concrete steps the top step is 22cm high x 45 cm deep and 160cm wide the 2nd, 3rd and 4th steps are 18cm high x 45cm deep x 160 wide or from a sloping driveway and a ramp 160cm wide some 8 metres from the door. There is one step 17cm high to enter the outer porch and a further step 17cm high to enter the hallway. Both doors are 81cm wide. All internal doors in the house are 75cm wide. The house is laid out in an upside down format, the three bedrooms and family bathroom are located on the ground floor.
The bathroom comprises a standard length bath 150cm long x 58cm wide and 56cm high and also a separate shower cubicle 70cm x 70cm with a 28cm step into the shower. There are 12 stairs 20cm high x 23cm deep x 79cm wide leading straight up to the first floor Lounge and the Kitchen / Dining area.
All light switches are standard height between 130cm and 135cm from floor level. There are 3 worktop height power points in the kitchen at 115cm high. All other power points are at 20cm from floor level.
There is a secluded walled garden to the rear of Y Frenni Fawr. This is accessed by going down a ramp 120cm wide through a wooden gate also 120cm wide and through the Orchard area. There are 3 concrete steps 21cm high x 32cm deep x 100cm wide leading to the back garden.

Surrounding Land

The land which visitors can access including the orchard is mostly grassed, essentially flat but some areas have a gentle slope.

Y Beudy – Arrival & Parking

Check-in is 3pm and check-out is 10am (unless prior arrangement is made). There is parking for 1 car within 3 metres of the front door.
Y Beudy Cottage is a single storey building with plenty of level car parking available in the gravelled courtyard immediately outside. A car can be parked within 2 metres of the front access doors. The front entrance comprises a pair of wooden doors 133cm wide in total. Each individual door is 65cm wide. There is a step 15cm high x 33cm deep x 135cm wide at the entrance and a further step of 8cm high over the door sill.

Inside & Garden

The main living accommodation comprising the large Lounge through a doorway 81 cm wide to the Kitchen / Dining area. There are 2 doors 75cm wide leading to the WC and Wash Hand Basin all on one level laminate floor. There is also a shower 70cm x 70cm on this level with one 31cm high step up into it. There is a back door 71cm wide leading to the walled garden area. There is a 12cm high step from floor level onto a single slate step and a further 12cm step onto the concrete patio. The remainder of the garden is laid to level lawn.
There are three old slate steps leading up to the bedroom area comprising the First step 23cm High x 30cm Deep x 91cm wide, Step 2 is 25cm high X 30cm deep and Step 3 is 21cm high leading to the bedroom. There is a single wooden handrail to the left (looking from the Lounge) at height of 110cm. The doorway to the bedroom is 81cm wide. The bedroom has a full en-suite bathroom with a bath 150cm long x 57cm wide and 56cm high. There is a shower over the bath with a shower screen.
There is also a Sauna leading from the bedroom adjacent to the en-suite bathroom. The wooden access door is 62cm wide. All light switches are at the standard height between 125cm and 136cm from floor level. The power sockets are at 25cm from the floor apart from one in the Lounge which is at 115cm and 3 Sockets in the Kitchen above the worktop which are all at 115cm from the floor.
