Blaencwm Cottages is the perfect escape from the stress of your busy life. We are located just outside of the quaint town of Cardigan in West Wales, and our cosy cottages and spectacular glamping pod are set in 4 acres of green farmland, with a backdrop of the Preseli Hills right on your doorstep. Y Beudy is a delightful couples cottage, boasting a roaring log burner and an exclusive en-suite sauna to keep you warm, even in the colder months. Y Frenni Fawr is a spacious and well-equipped family home from home with amazing views from the upstairs lounge – both cottages are extremely dog-friendly, with fully enclosed gardens to keep your pets safe.
We also have a quaint and cosy glamping pod, Ty Cnocell, complete with it’s own exclusive use wood-fired hot tub – dogs are allowed in the pod, but we do ask that you supervise them around the ducks and donkeys in the adjacent areas. Both cottages have achieved a 4 Star Rating from Visit Wales and our glamping Pod, Ty Cnocell, has been rated as “Quality Assured”.
The other residents of Blaencwm Cottages are 3 donkeys, Hettie, Dudley and Ellie, barn cats and assorted ducks and chickens (whose eggs you will get to sample).
We (Alison and Steve) have been living in West Wales for the past 3 years. We both hail from Surrey originally and have always dreamed of an “Escape to the Country” and Blaencwm is the perfect place to do that for us and for our guests alike.
There are many attractions in the locality, beaches, castles, a coastal path and even a couple of breweries. Mwnt beach one of Europe’s top ten “loveliest hidden beaches” is just 11 miles away. The area is ideal for walkers and wildlife enthusiasts. From New Quay (a fifteen minute drive) take a boat trip to see bottlenose dolphins and seals. Nearby Cardigan offers a wide range of shops, eating places, a theatre and cinema. Further afield, there are many other attractions and resorts to entertain the whole family.
