Dogs welcome in West Wales !

About our dog-friendly cottages

Hi – my name is Archie and I am lucky enough to live here at Blaencwm Cottages in West Wales. My humans asked me to let you know just why this is such a great place to bring your own humans for a holiday. Both of the main cottages, Y Beudy and Y Frenni Fawr allow up to 2 doggie friends to stay and I am always on hand to bark out the window at fellow furry friends or join you for a run-around in the Orchard area, which is a fully enclosed area, separate to your own private gardens. (N.B. There are a few rules that your humans need to follow and these can be found in the downloadable document at the end of this section).

Why choose West Wales for your Getaway?

Wales is such a great place to visit for us dogs. Nearly all of the beaches have a “dog-friendly” area, even in the summer months and many of the restaurants and shops are also happy to accommodate us – I particularly enjoy a run on Poppit Sands Beach (as you can see from the pic), followed by a nice rest in Crwst, the beach coffee shop. You can take your humans for walks along the Coastal Paths or if they are a bit more adventurous, you can even help them to climb the beautiful hill that you can see from the cottages.

In case that isn’t enough reason to come and see me, here are some more:

  • The area is lovely and quiet and well set back from the main road down a lane, so very little noise to disturb us during our afternoon snooze. Set in the idyllic Pembrokeshire countryside, there are also no fireworks to worry about, so if you are the nervous type, this is a great place to get away from the whizzers and bangers too !
  • You will receive your own little welcome pack consisting of a towel, a doggie blanket AND most importantly, some treats to enjoy !
  • Not only do you have your own fully-enclosed gardens to enjoy, but you can also have a really good run-around in the Orchard whilst your humans sit and enjoy the view or maybe even an evening tipple ……
  • You can even walk a little bit further onsite, to meet the donkeys through the fence, although we do have to be on a lead for that bit. Oh, and look out for the four cats that also live here. They don’t give me any trouble though, so I am sure they will keep their distance if you are not a fan !
  • There are lots of restaurants where your humans might like to go for dinner, where we are allowed in as well ! Check those out here https://blaencwmcottages.co.uk/restaurants-nearby/

So, don’t delay. Get your humans to book you a short or long break here at Blaencwm – I promise you won’t regret it !
